Gordon is a Special Counsel in our Business team. He has more than 30 years of banking experience within a major bank, government, and private practice. He has practiced as a banking and finance lawyer for 14 years.

Clients seek Gordon’s advice on their financing documents or to document their financial arrangements. He acts for all types of lenders – including individuals lending to family and their companies, and fund managers and banks lending to commercial entities. He also acts for borrowers in relation to their commercial financing transactions both with banks, government funds and private lenders.

Gordon’s expertise spans large transactional issues across all types of retail and commercial credit (including construction finance), structured finance, creating and maintaining suites of precedent documents (including loan and security documents) and other general banking advice.

Prior to working as a lawyer, Gordon was Manager Legal, Corporate Banking (Westpac) and a Senior Analyst with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) undertaking regulatory work in relation to structured financial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings.

Clients appreciate Gordon’s accessibility and the deep experience in banking and finance that he brings to every transaction.
