Shane is an experienced personal injuries and insurance lawyer, having advised both plaintiff and defendant clients on workers’ compensation, public liability, compulsory third party and total and permanent disablement insurance claims for more than a decade.
He advises clients such as WorkCover Queensland on matters involving defending workers’ compensation insurance claims and individuals claiming damages for personal injuries in public liability, motor vehicle accident and total and permanent disablement or superannuation insurance claims.
Shane is experienced working with lawyers and claims managers at all levels, in addition to key stakeholders representing employers across all industries and understands that robust advocacy underpinned by technical expertise is important to them.
Shane has particular experience advising individuals, employers and insurers in relation to claims for damages for personal injuries suffered in the construction, mining, retail and healthcare industries and regularly drafts articles on topics relevant to his clients that operate in these spaces.
Shane is skilled at identifying and narrowing the true issues in dispute in any dispute and advocating his clients’ position with respect to those issues. He enjoys using these skills to avoid unnecessary legal costs and delays and providing solutions to his clients.
