New Managing Partner for Mullins Lawyers

Mullins Lawyers is pleased to announce a change of Managing Partner, effective 31 December 2024.

Mullins Lawyers is pleased to announce that Sam McIvor will be appointed to the role of Managing Partner, effective end of December 2024. He will succeed Curt Schatz, who has led the firm for nearly a decade since 2015.

Schatz, a driving force behind Mullins’ growth and succession planning, is here to stay. In his role as a Senior Equity Partner, he will have an enhanced focus on expanding the firm’s client base and revenue streams.

With an extensive practice in hospitality law, Schatz is committed to advancing this area even further. Leveraging his exceptional business development expertise and extensive professional network, he will continue to play a pivotal role in the firm’s ongoing success and growth.

Reflecting on his tenure, Schatz shared, “When I came to the managing partner role my vision was to direct growth and succession, we have certainly achieved that. But I am not going anywhere and will now have more time for my clients and referrers without the managing partner role. It is a wonderful time to recognise the solid platform that now exists for the firm’s future, and I believe Sam’s leadership will drive the firm toward even greater success.”
